Digital Media Production
Program Description
Mr. Steve Neumann, Instructor

DMP provides instruction in digital photography, videography, photo editing, nonlinear video editing, script writing, news reporting and production, as well as audio production, lighting and television studio management.  Students learn in a large television studio utilizing video cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, computers, studio sets and props.

Typical projects include (but no limited to) production of the quarterly school video magazine (3TV), numerous contest entries, productions for local community organizations and class projects and assignments.
Career Opportunities
DMP graduates are hired by television and radio stations, and video production companies.  Job titles include: 
  • Broadcast Technicians
  • Camera Operators
  • Radio and Television Announcers
  • Reporters and Correspondents
  • Film and Video Editors

The industry is expected to grow 9% with average salary rates between $13.72 and $22.28 per hour in the Columbus region.
