In 2017, Emmy Beeson was named as the fifth superintendent of Tolles, which now serves more than 1,500 middle school, high school & adult students each year.
“I am thrilled to join the Tolles team. As a former teacher in a career-technical center, I fell in love with the real-world application of education, which makes teaching and learning meaningful for students and fulfilling for staff members,” said Beeson, who spent six years as a teacher at St. John’s Lutheran School (Marysville), Elgin Local Schools (Marion), and Tri-River Career Center (Marion) prior to her move into administration. She has spent the last six years as the superintendent for Ridgemont Local Schools in Hardin County. While there, she facilitated a successful bond campaign that led to the construction of a new $21 million K-12 building. Prior to her tenure as superintendent at Ridgemont, Beeson served as the curriculum director for Benjamin Logan Local Schools in Logan County. Beeson earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Dominican College, her master’s degree and principal’s license from the University of Findlay and her superintendent’s license from Ashland University. In 2017, she was the recipient of the Betsy M. Cowles Leadership Award from the Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA).
