Tolles Career & Technical Center operates nearly 40 middle and high school programs on its Plain City campus and in 11 different satellite locations. The district also provides adult and continuing education programs. Originally founded in 1974 as the Central Ohio Joint Vocational School District, Tolles is the official career and technical education provider for seven K-12 school districts in Franklin, Madison and Union Counties. The district operates on a 1.6 mill levy that was approved by voters in these communities in 1976. No new money has been sought from the constituents of these communities for more than 40 years. In fact, in a sign of fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers, the original levy approved at 2.0 millage was reduced to 1.6 mills.
