The Superintendent of Tolles will decide when weather or adverse conditions warrant closing the school. School delays and/or closings will be communicated through the following channels:
One Call Now
Notifications distributed via phone and/or email directly to the student’s home and/or electronic device, as provided by the parent/guardian.
The official Twitter account will be one of the first distribution channels to post the information.
Shortly after the cancellation is posted on Twitter, it will also be posted on Facebook.
In the event of a Tolles weather delay, arrival times for drivers are:
1 hour delay – Student drivers must report by 9:22 a.m.
2 hour delay – Student drivers must report by 10:22 a.m.
In the event of a weather delay at your associate school, student drivers are to arrive at Tolles one or two hours after the start of your associate school, not after the start of the Tolles day. Bus riders will also arrive one or two hours after the start of your associate school as your bus pick-up times will follow the associate school delay.
If a student’s associate school has closed due to inclement weather, road conditions, or other emergencies, but Tolles has not closed, the student is not responsible for reporting to Tolles and will not be counted absent.
If Tolles has closed due to inclement weather, road conditions, or other emergencies, but your associate school has not closed, the student is not responsible for reporting to his or her associate school.
If required, make-up days will be used as needed and will be announced in advance.
