Tolles has partnered with CCI, Condensed Curriculum International, to offer a variety of short-term medical training programs to get you ready for a new career in the healthcare field.
Note: all programs include textbooks, workbooks and students materials. Certain programs include clinical externships and national certifications.
Clinical Medical Assistant
This program prepares students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical aspects of a medical office. Instruction includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, pharmacology, taking and documenting vital signs, technical aspects of phlebotomy, the 12-lead EKG and the cardiac life cycle.

Medical Administrative Assistant
This course covers information on the medical assisting profession, interpersonal skills, medical ethics and law, medical terminology, basics of insurance billing and coding, telephone techniques, scheduling appointments, medical records management and management of practice finances. A great course for physicians medical office professionals!

This course prepares students for entry level positions as a chair side dental assistant. This course covers the history of dentistry, introduction to the dental office, the legal aspects of dentistry, oral anatomy, dental operatory, tooth structures, primary and permanent teeth, the oral cavity, and other areas.
Program also includes an optional clinical externship at a local healthcare provider!

This course will provide a comprehensive classroom and clinical education in phlebotomy. Participants will learn the techniques, skills and equipment used for the purpose of safe and effective blood collection. The students will be expected to demonstrate the ability to obtain patients’ blood specimens by venipuncture and micro-collection techniques on each other. This course includes anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. Following successful completion, students will be able to sit for the NCCT National Phlebotomy Technician exam for an additional $90.
Students must have a Hepatitis B immunization and two-step Mantoux (TB) screening prior to beginning the class.

State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA)
Sixteen clinical hours are scheduled and announced after class begins.This curriculum includes infection control, safety and emergency measures, resident’s rights, human needs, basic nursing skills, restorative care, personal care, disease processes and daily hands-on training in lab. This course is designed to prepare the student for the Ohio State Nurse Aide exam. The test fee is $96.
A current two-step Mantoux (TB) screening and physical are required.
