Irelan new representative on Tolles Board of Education

Tom Irelan was sworn in as the newest representative of the Tolles Career & Technical Center Board of Education Thursday night (Oct. 19) during the Board’s regular monthly meeting. Irelan represents Dublin City Schools and replaces Page Vornbrock, who served two years on the Board. He will finish the final year of Vornbrock’s term in 2017 and is appointed for a consecutive two-year term from January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2019.

“On behalf of the Board of Education, we are happy to have Mr. Irelan represent Dublin City Schools and we look forward to working with him,” said Tolles Superintendent Emmy Beeson.

Irelan is president of Dublin Building Systems, Inc. (DBS), a 47-year-old design build commercial general contractor and family-owned business. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1989 with a BS in Business Administration, while his major area of study was Real Estate and Urban Analysis. An active member of the Columbus Rotary Club and the Central Ohio National Association of Office and Industrial Properties, he is a “40 under 40” award recipient from Columbus Business First in 2005. He also spends some of his free time working with the Red Cross and the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.
