Title: Technician Assistant Position: Full Time
Travel Requirements Expect to travel 4-6 weeks at a time, with one week off at home. Applicant must be willing to travel by airline. Per Diem, travel and lodging costs, and hourly wages while traveling are paid by the company. 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with a crew of 2-4 team members surveying underground pipelines to identify areas of concern. 
• Learn data collection procedures and techniques. 
Become proficient at using all survey equipment. Responsible for the care and maintenance of vehicles used on projects. Ensure all safety equipment is working properly and is well maintained. Assist with data collection in accordance with project scope. Support crew leader as requested. Participate in daily safety meetings. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the timely submission of accurate expense reports, timesheets and collected data.
• Treat all co-workers, business partners and landowners in a courteous and professional manner. 
Work Environment Must be able to perform physically demanding work for long hours outdoors and have the ability to work in different types of weather conditions in different types of environments.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, use their hands to grab, handle or feel, and reach with their hands and arms. This position requires the ability to walk up to 8 miles a day while collecting data and carrying a 30-pound backpack. This position also requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. 
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
• Requires a high school diploma or GED 
• Requires a valid driver's license 
• Ability to work flexible shifts 
• Proficient in reading and writing 
Required Skills
• Basic computer skills 
• Familiarity with MS Excel and Outlook preferred 
Training is company provided and paid training. The training includes but is not limited to First Aid and CPR, other safety-related training, additional equipment training as nee additional on-the-job training that may be required to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies. Successful employees may have an opportunity to enhance their technical skills at the world-class training facility owned by our parent company.

Starting Wage$11 - $13 per hour ($32,340 - $38,220 annually) - An average work week is Monday thru Saturday and consists of 40 regular hours plus 20 hours of overtime. (A wage of $13 per hour working 60 hours a week, 42 weeks a year with 10 weeks off equates to approximately $18.37 per hour working 40 hours a week for 52 weeks.
