Tolles Career & Technical Center superintendent transition
Plain City, OH – As Superintendent Emmy Beeson prepares to depart Tolles Career & Technical Center following four years as its administrative leader, its seven-member board of education and district staff prepare to welcome Todd Hoadley as the new superintendent. Hoadley is currently a senior administrator with Dublin City Schools and served as that district’s superintendent for eight years.
The search identified a quality group of candidates from across the state, Board President Doug Maggied said. “The board followed a full search process that began a couple of months ago. We worked with an OSBA facilitator and offered staff and community partners the opportunity to complete a survey. We also offered a series of focus groups for staff and partners. We completed two rounds of interviews and did significant reference checking. The board looks forward to having Todd Hoadley as superintendent and toward Tolles “lifting” off to new and greater heights.
Maggied continued, “The board appreciated getting to know Mr. Hoadley. Coming from one of the seven districts Tolles serves, we believe he not only knows who we and many of our partners are but is in a great position to expand and continue to improve our programs. He has tremendous leadership experience, and the board believes he’s the right fit for Tolles at this time. We’re convinced we’ve made an excellent choice. He’s led and motivated staff and students in his past experiences and expect him to build positive relationships here with staff, students and business and industry partners.”
Hoadley will begin his official duties as superintendent on August 1. Cheryl W. Ryan, director of board and management services at the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) assisted the district with the search.
