Tolles Most Productive Central Ohio High School for American Red Cross Blood Drive

Student gives blood

This school year was a busy one for Tolles’ pre-nursing students and The American Red Cross. Tolles students and staff (including superintendent Emmy Beeson) donated a total of 168 units of blood this school year. Those donations have the ability to save 498 lives.

Mr. Peter Checkie, account manager for the American Red Cross Central Ohio regions serving Champaign, Logan, Hardin, and Madison Counties reported to Tolles’ pre-nursing instructor Glenna Texler that Tolles was the most productive high school in the region this year.

Because of the donations at Tolles this year, the Red Cross is donating a $750 scholarship to be awarded to a pre-nursing senior based on their volunteerism, attendance, and need.
